This is one of those "found in a barn” cars, only it was found in a storage unit in northern California some 12 years ago. It belonged to a retired AF colonel who only drove it on base. When he left the AF and moved to N. CA. his wife would not let him drive it on the road so he parked it in her brother’s storage unit. Drove it in, turned it off and it sat there for 7 years until I found it. It was in good shape when I bought it (except for the gas tank full of cunk, the carbs and such) but had straight body, no rust, brand new top, new aluminum side curtains and a great engine and tranny. It had been converted to front disc brakes. I put it back on the road, put a great knock-em-dead red paint job on it, replaced the clutch, tyres and kept everything stock…it runs like a Swiss watch (ticks like one too). If you want to see it in action, Tulsa TV did a feature on it a few years ago and you can access that by going to http://www.newson6.com/Global/category.asp?C=121535&clipId=3808984&topVideoCatNo=112047&autoStart=true
I love this car, it is the same as my first car in high school, but it is time to move on…
